There are plenty of ways to find support and education for your business, but the fastest way to accelerate your success is to join a mastermind. I’ve been in masterminds that are $1,000/year and some that are as much as $20,000/year. I can honestly say that I’ve always got my money’s worth. When I step away from the day-to-day and focus on my business, I see more results.
Masterminds have been around for decades, and date back the 1930’s and Napoleon Hill’s famous Think and Grow Rich book. A mastermind is a group of like-minded business peers who meet regularly to grow their businesses in a safe and nurturing environment. Mastermind conversations include vulnerable topics such as money, fear, failure, and challenges. You’ll also hear inspiring stories of success, growth, brainstorming, problem-solving, and systems to help you work on your business instead of in your business. Publications, like Inc., talk about masterminds as one of the best investments you can make in yourself and in your business.

1) Accountability
Let’s be honest, follow through is the key to moving your business forward. When you have a mastermind (aka, a board of directors) who challenge you to keep your word and focus on your top priority, you’ll be motivated to stay the course when things get tough.
2) Strategic planning
When you step away from the day-to-day, you prioritize time to work on your business, especially in areas where you need help and to create goals that your business forward. Taking time to focus on what’s important vs. urgent helps you gain control of your business and gives you a road-map to measure your progress.
