2018 Wings 4 Water Results
Last week, the 2nd Annual Wings 4 Water competition happened in the Bridge Space parking lot. Not only did attendees get to exercise their right to vote (for the best wings in the world), but the Thursday night football game was also on too. What could be better than football and wings!?
This year’s event brought 15 tents serving up 5,000+ wings. That night, Wings 4 Water fed over 400 people.
The live performance from The Local was talked about all night – they were awesome!
THE RESULTS:
The winner of the wings competition was Deerbrook Covenant Church. Meat Rushmore was a close 2nd.
The real winners are the hundreds of people who now have access to clean water for the rest of their lives. Some of the charities who received donations are Agua Viva International, GiveSafeWater.org , Coldwater of Lee’s Summit , and World Vision.
NEXT YEAR’S EVENT
The 3rd Annual Wings 4 Water will take place on Thursday, September 5, 2019.
Wings 4 Water is a 501(c)(3) entity created to raise money and awareness to get clean water to those in need.
