5 Simple Steps to Making the Sale
This guest blog post was written by Ms. Ryann Dowdy , owner of Uncensored Consulting.
When you start building a business, everyone tells you to develop systems and processes to stay organized, which you can eventually outsource different functions. There are systems to help you communicate with customers, to communicate internally, and even a system to help different people within organizations work together.
IT systems. Financial systems. HR systems. Marketing systems. Systems galore.
BUT – what most companies seem to miss is a SALES system. Simply put, a sales system is a step-by-step process for each potential client to determine if our product or service is a good fit for them.
Without a sales system, you have no way to predict revenue, understand your sales cycle, or train new employees on how to sell your product or service.
Selling is all about relationships. You’ve heard that people do business with people they know, like, and trust. Because of this relationship, many business owners think they should just “fly by the seat of their pants” and let the conversation unfold. Like with all things in life, if you have no direction, you are likely to get lost, or worse – wind up somewhere you didn’t plan on going.
Each sales conversation is different. A sales process isn’t a script. (Read that again!) It’s not a robotic system or automation that we walk people through. It’s a guideline of where you want each conversation to go to determine if you and the potential client are a fit to work together.
Whether you sell a $5 product or a multi-six figure service-based program – the system will have the SAME components. Whether you are a brand new business or have been in business for 20+ years, a well thought out sales system can be the difference between “scraping by” and long-term success.
In this free workshop at Bridge Space on Thursday, February 6 at 11am, I am going to walk you through a SIMPLE 5-step process that will allow you to simplify selling within your business .

I will break down each step, share which step is the most important, which step gets missed most often, and what happens when we try to skip steps in the process.
This class is free, but please RSVP here .
