It’s a day to celebrate life!
WARNING: Graphic image!
Bridge Space’s founder, Ben Rao, is celebrating 8 years cancer free.
Less than 10 years ago, Ben noticed a mole on his back. He had it checked out by a dermatologist in Lee’s Summit. After a biopsy, he got the news: melanoma. The melanoma had metastasized to his lymph nodes, which meant two surgeries, lymph nodes removed and interferon treatments.
Melanoma is aggressive cancer that often times starts from a simple mole.
No one wants to get a cancer diagnosis. It’s terrifying, and you can’t help to think of all of the things that could go wrong.
Ben’s personal mission to give back to the community in any way he can. Raising awareness about skin cancer is an easy way head off a fatality.
What can you do?
- Pay attention to your body.
- Get an annual skin screening.
- Encourage your family and friends to get their skin checked too.
Early detection can save your life – just like it did Ben’s. If he hadn’t taken action to get his skin checked, it’s highly unlikely that he would be here today.
You can’t build a business with poor health.
