Getting Started with Quickbooks Online
This guest blog post was written by Greer Cannady, owner of Abacus Accounting Solutions.
Are you a small business owner that dreads the upcoming tax time because of the “stuff” you will have to gather for your accountant?
Do you struggle to keep up with bookkeeping tasks in QuickBooks Online?
Do you worry each year about how much taxes you will owe?
The struggle is REAL! Many entrepreneurs have the same stresses: the pressure to run the daily operations of the business, address unexpected issues, collect from customers, make deposits and, somehow, keep up with the financial transaction entry and reconciliation. For the self-employed, there are not enough hours in the day!
Join me, on September 25, from 3-4pm at Bridge Space in downtown Lee’s Summit, as we explore how to save time (and money!) with QuickBooks Online.

We will discuss how to maximize the small business benefits of QuickBooks Online such as:
- automating repetitive tasks, like reminding customers about past due invoices
- automatically tracking miles from your phone in order to capture all possible mileage deductions. This is a brand new feature to the QuickBooks application and will save tons of time.
- capture receipts on mobile devices. You can simply take a photo of your business receipt, and the app will then automatically categorize the expense + store an image of the receipt.
We will also discuss best practices for monthly bank account reconciliations, invoicing customers, collecting timely on accounts receivable, and chart of accounts set up. Lastly, I will guide you on the items you will need to prepare/track in order to be prepared for the 2020 tax deadline in April. Do not miss this free opportunity to begin fine-tuning your business’ accounting procedures and practices.
The class is free, but registration is required .
