Coworking coming to Lee’s Summit

Coworking is coming to Lee’s Summit next year.  Local entrepreneur Ben Rao is making a play to buy the old post office in Lee’s Summit and build a coworking and event space to help small businesses and entrepreneurs build their businesses.  Coworking spaces are huge community projects and touch the community in more ways than people realize.

Cowork LS is a coworking space in central business district in downtown Lee’s Summit that aims to provide the independent worker and small businesses with a working space, educational programming and the support of a coworking community. Coworking is made up of a membership base that pay a monthly fee for access to different level of amenities and resources offered by cowork ls.

The goal is to get the post office purchased and rehabbed with a target opening date of the fall of 2017. Stay tuned!
